2nd Annual New Orleans Polar Bear Plunge (NEW YEAR’S DAY)

In Uncategorized on November 25, 2012 at 11:41 pm

Despite our relatively warm winter temperatures in New Orleans, it still gets pretty chilly.

On January 1st at 11AM we will be jumping in the Gulf of Mexico for a brisk swim. This is an all ages event. Come celebrate 2013 with our Second Annual PLUNGE.

The swim takes place at serene Pass Christian beach.

None really. Wear a wetsuit if you like. This whole thing is about having holiday fun. Because of the rocks and other debris on the beach, shoes might be a good idea. Otherwise, what you wear is up to you. 11am is the perfect time to be up and at ‘em after a night of New Year’s Eve partying. Remember that swimming is optional, you can just watch and enjoy the beach.

Here’s the NOadventure post from last year’s event.
